FIFA World Cup 2022 begins in Qatar today
The FIFA World Cup 2022 begins in Qatar today. The opening ceremony will be held at the Alabayat stadium. India will be represented by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on the occasion of the opening ceremony.
32 teams from around the world will be participating in the tournament which will continue from today till December 18. The teams have been divided into 8 groups and 64 matches will be played between these teams and 48 matches will be played in the league phase of the tournament, out of which 16 best performing teams will reach the next stage of the tournament. The first match of the tournament will be played today between hosts Qatar and Ecuador.
